This is my entry into the Mansfield Art Center's May Show. It is an unusual show as it has a lot of creative and sometimes wierd art objects. I have been wanting to paint this picture for years but never felt I had the skills until now. If you enlarge the painting you will see some comments that are pertinent to the painting. I will put the progress on this blog in the next few days.
I also entered the Okame Cherry Tree painting that was posted prior to this post.It was a Plein Air painting done at Kingwood Center this Spring. I entered that one because it is the May Show and it is impressionistic. We will see...will know by next Sunday if they made it. I have painted 2 more paintings while completing these but will have to photo and upload. Wish me luck!
It was accepted! No award but I did get in the show.

Cherry Tree

First Plein Air of 2012. 8x10 Oil done at Kingwood Center in Mansfield, Ohio. It was so fantastically beautiful and warm. It has now turned cold with frost again tonight but will try to paint tomorrow afternoon. Supposed to be 55 degrees but hoping for a little more warmth than that.
I have been working in the yard for the last three days getting my garden ready. Did more than usual as it was cool enough to stay out and finish. I usually get overheated chopping, pulling , cutting! Mowed the lawn as some of it was a foot high.
Also found out one of my favorite paintings, "Abandoned", well, that house was torn down. So sorry as I wanted it to paint it again.
Found out today also that my Painting of the Longhorn portrait I did was reprinted and sold on Fine Art America. I am happy happy today.

Winter Splendor/Red Leaves in Winter Sold!

I was thrilled to find this painting sold at the Cafe on Main. I went in to change out my paintings and found this had sold. It was so much fun to do and I think I should do more Yupo paintings. I realize I haven't been blogging but have been painting and am working on a 16x20 oil which is taking me some time. I may post the progress as I have photoed the process. This painting that sold can be reproduced at Fine Art America. www.judy-fischer-walton.artistwebsites.com

Early morning Holsteins
Bulldog pup

I have been waiting for the sun to get a good photo. This was done from a photo of my nephew's pup. Fun to do with all the colors in a white dog. Lately I am loving doing these pets. Will have to do some cats. It is an 8x10 oil.

Blowin in the Wind

I have been wanting to do a painting of clothes hanging on the line. This is from a photo I took at the Elderhostel at Malabar Farm in Ohio. I cropped the picture way down to do the backyard with the clothesline. I probably spent more time on what clothes I wanted hanging on the line. I really enjoyed this painting and was inspired by the tree colors.
